Pastel CLASSES with Lyn

Term 3 -2022
TERM DATES: TUESDAY STUDIO CLASS   6 weeks July 19 to August 23
10am-12pm (pastel)  and  1pm - 3pm (oil and/or pastel)
WEDNESDAY ZOOM SESSION  - WATER and SKY in the LAND/SEASCAPE.  October 12 to Dec 7
10am-1pm
Zoom Classes on offer run for 6 instructional classes - and three additional personal assessment and extension lessons when you will explore the lesson concept in a  personal painting.
I was encouraged by the results of this slightly more challenging format of the classes and the resulting personal paintings. I hope you can join us.

Term 3  -
-STUDIO:- Mornington - Private Studio at 77A Barkly St.
Lyn will illustrate the method and the reason or steps involved, for each painting and will be there with you as you begin work on your paintings, discuss any issues that you encounter and/or individual assessment along the way and at the lesson's end.
The morning class is pastel only and the afternoon class students work in either oil paint or soft pastel.

ZOOM:- Anywhere with an internet connection.
This term, once again is a stand alone term, that is, it is not linked to previous terms. .
The Term will have Three x 3 week painting units.

  • Lyn demonstrates and guides with a detailed weekly demonstration for two weeks, broken into parts. The students produce a study copy to practice the learning from the demonstration working at their own pace starting in the lesson with a personal assessment each lesson .
They also each have access to a private web site
where they can rewatch the study demonstrations, to check on the process or re-watch as much as they like..

  • The student then applies the learning concept to their own personal painting based on the previous lesson subject. This personal painting will give a chance to apply the processes learnt in the directed lesson. This is the important 'consolidation of learning' step from the demonstrated painting and begins to free you to interpret the learning concepts into you own painting material.
