6 Days and 7 nights painting with
Pastel & Watercolour art workshop

We will arrive in Metung on Saturday April 17th and booking out on Saturday 24th April.
We are staying together in apartments just 500 meters from the Metung Village
Option including Accommodation
We will secure your booking with your deposit. ($260 per person)
This will be your up front booking amount.
Please note This tiny fine print:- In case of cancellation this deposit is not refundable but may be applied to any PDU art paintaway within two years.
Our accommodation has private bedrooms, either with an ensuite or with one bathroom per two people and a separate toilet, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, lounge and parking.
Guests will take advantage of being able to relax with artists who love to paint and take advantage of the daily hints and demos and enjoy the beauty of the Tambo River, Chinaman's Creek, East Gippsland Jetties, rolling hills, Jetties and rivercraft or yachts on quiet moorings, big skies, abundant birdlife and much more.
There will be the relaxed gatherings to watch demonstrations in house but more en plein air. You will be shown hints on how to improve your paintings.
You have the freedom to visit the many restaurants nearby or prepare your own meals or byo meals to Lyn and Julie's at the spacious and clean Edgewater Terraces.
There is much to explore and you will have one half personal day to personalise your visit however you choose - exploring, visiting the Metung Hot Springs, visiting, resting, finishing a painting, -it's your day....

Your fee covers
- Small group
- Book in Saturday 17th from 2pm and gather for introductions,
- Welcome Dinner Sunday 18th, 7pm at Metung
- 10 en plein air painting sessions including demonstrations,
- individual assistance or assessments as needed
- A trip to the Metung Hot Springs wellness centre
- Celebration and display of all paintings Friday 23rd 4pm
- Farewell Dinner Friday 23rd April
- Book out Saturday morning April 24th
FEE:- includes private bedroom accommodation and all workshop fees $2600 Per Painter.
- Initial deposit of $260 per person if you are a painter or $300 if you are a painter sharing a room with a non painter. Workshop numbers and accommodation are limited and this deposit secures your spot. Let us know if you wish to bring a non painter.

This deposit is non refundable but if you need to cancel it can be applied to any PDU workshop within 2 years.
About Your Tutors:-
Lyn Mellady – artist,teacher,mentor and art judge.She is a trained teacher, whose travels were the start of her desire to bring home more than photos - Since 1980 her work has not only won many awards and recognition, but sharing her knowledge with tutoring Australia wide including the Australian Pastel expo in 2018 and 2022 has become her perfect mix. Lyn has five paintings in government collections; is a member of Fusionsix portrait artists, whose exhibition travelled to 3 regional galleries across Australia.
Lyn is a Master Pastellist with the Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia, and ex Aust Guild of Realist Artist president and Fellow who established the Australian Art Excellence Awards with the backing of Terri Dodd and Australian Artist in 2000.

Julie Goldspink – artist, teacher and art judge travels frequently, giving workshops Australia wide. She has many followers here and internationally wide who love her watercolours and / or teaching. Tutoring in watercolour and mixed media, with extensive knowledge in most mediums, Julie loves to paint land, rivers, sea or flowers – wherever the light falls and has a long list of awards. Julie featured on Graeme Stevenson’s 'Put Some Colour in Your Life' and her teaching videos have found homes on three continents.

Late Cancellations after April 1 will still be required to pay full price.

Edgewater Terraces apartments 2 Nicholas Ave Metung
Metung is nestled on the shores of the Gippsland Lakes. A picturesque village, approximately 3 1/2 hours from Melbourne and surrounded by water, the living and lifestyle is relaxed and casual, but with an air of style. The small village offers a mix of interesting shops and restaurants all within an easy walk of Edgewater Terraces.
Every apartment is slightly different.
Rooms are allotted in the order of payment for booking with the most appropriate matching the payment option.
You will have a private bedroom with either a large double bed or two singles.
One room has a single bed and double bed bunk. (we find this a good sleeping + storage option)
Bathrooms are shared between two rooms or there are two en-suite bathrooms.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and sitting room in each apartment.
Two apartments have no stairs. Others have one flight to bedrooms.
KITCHEN/LAUNDRY
Well equipped kitchen has a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and dish washer, all have a laundry with washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities. All linen and towelling is supplied .

MEALS
Welcome meal included for artists where you will receive information on the workshop etc. on Saturday evening in Metung.

NB. Option to prepare your own meals in the kitchen or enjoy meals in the nearby restaurants or Hotels.
NOT INCLUDED
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Transport to or from Metung or painting spots. (We find that people are usually happy to share)
Art Supplies (Please check the painting workshop material list supplied when you book your spot.)
Your personal items. There is a supermarket, chemist and medical centre nearby.
